Happy New Year

It is hard to believe that another year has passed and that the soccer season is 2 months away. I hope everyone enjoyed the Holiday's and rang in the New Year safely.

RaceRX is our morning conditioning this year. This year however is different from all previous years of morning conditioning. For starters everyone can sleep in, and parents don't have to navigate through 5:30 AM Mainstreet traffic. RaceRX is available Tuesdays and Thursdays after school for soccer specific training and also available, via the track team and coach, every other day of the week after school. For those that have things in the afternoon they have even made a Tuesday morning class available. This is free of charge to the student athlete. The program has been great and those of you who have taken advantage of it are already starting to see results.

We are the only school in the United States that I know of who have this opportunity. This is a gift to Logan and its students from some very generous donors, who love the school and want us to be successful. I am very grateful to these donors and for their contributions. Please make sure that you take every opportunity to attend the workouts. While there are no gurantees as to whether or not you will start or even make the team because of your work. I can gurantee that you will be faster, stronger, and a better student. All that is required is for you to show up on time, with the right workout clothing and with the right attitude. The price you have to pay is your committment level. When you invest your time and energy the rewards aren't far behind. The more you pay, the more you will earn. The harder you try and the more you attend the faster and stronger you will become.

For parents who read this blog, please make sure that your boys are going to RaceRX. They are required to sign in everyday when they attend. It can already be noted that some young men are buying into RaceRx while others are while others are coming up with every excuse in the book for not going. Someday they will run out of excuses and wonder what happened.

One last note: Grades are due next Friday. Please get your grades up. 2.0 minimum GPA with only one F allowed. Some of you may also want to check your attendance.

I will be posting more often as the season nears. If you know of parents who don't know of the blog please let them know. You can also become a follower of the blog by clicking on the Follower section of the blog.

Lets make this a great season and a Happy New Year.
